Philips Web Camera

We like this webcam.  All web cameras have pros and cons and one of the biggest pros of this is that when this hits you doormat you are ready to get going.

Unlike some web cams where you need to get software updates or buy your own headphones this perfect starter pack contains it all.

It would be wrong to miss out the main design drawback.  Unfortunately the web cam does not dock as well as some of the others, but if you are using it for chat you will find the adjustable head more than acceptable.

If you are not familiar with web cameras then you will soon find out that manufacturers are forever trying to find the universal fixing for web cameras.  This results in some webcams having fiddly systems which allow you fit them to laptops, while others are designed to sit on the slightly sloping top of a monitor.

The Philips web camera is simply designed to perch on your allocated surface and you then adjust the ‘eye’ to get the correct image, so it can be used with any configuration.

The pros of this Philips web camera are its simplicity, and the overall quality.  The included external microphone is excellent and the software is quick loading.

As a first web camera this is an ideal choice and Philips have priced it to fit this demographic perfectly.
